Don’t DRINK N’ DRIVE… but if your CAR is DRUNK…SKETCH IT

In the vast expanse of automotive history, certain vehicles stand out not just for their performance or popularity, but for their rarity and uniqueness. Among these automotive unicorns is the 1973 PONTIAC FIREBIRD ESPRIT, a car that captured the hearts of enthusiasts with its distinctive design and unparalleled charm.

Now, I’ve mentioned this before, but my brother had one of these in High School. And after four Concerts at THE FORUM during the Summer, the car overheated in the parking lot. We had no water… but we still had BEER. So… into the Radiator it went. And we were home in two hours. Never a good idea to drive and drink, but if your car is drunk… it should be ok.

The Car…

Born in an era of automotive experimentation and innovation, the PONTIAC FIREBIRD ESPRIT emerged as a beacon of individuality in a sea of conformity. Its design was a bold departure from the mainstream, exuding an aura of sophistication and style that set it apart from its contemporaries.

At the heart of the Esprit’s allure was its sleek and aerodynamic body, characterized by flowing lines and sculpted curves that hinted at its performance capabilities. It had MUSCLE. The sometimes  iconic hood scoop and aggressive front end gave the Esprit a menacing presence on the road, while its low-slung profile and pronounced wheel arches emphasized its sporty demeanor. But it was not just the exterior that made the 1973 PONTIAC FIREBIRD ESPRIT a true unicorn car; its interior was a testament to luxury and comfort. Plush bucket seats enveloped occupants in opulent comfort, while the driver-centric cockpit put everything within reach for an immersive driving experience. Including bro’s MASSIVE EQUALIZER. With features like power windows, air conditioning, and a premium sound system, the Esprit pampered its occupants like no other.

Under the hood, the Esprit boasted a range of potent powertrains that catered to enthusiasts of all stripes. From the spirited performance of the V8 to the refined efficiency of the inline-six, there was a powerplant to suit every taste and driving style.

Despite its undeniable allure and groundbreaking design, the 1973 PONTIAC FIREBIRD ESPRIT remains a rare sight on today’s roads, adding to its mystique and allure. For those fortunate enough to experience its magic firsthand, the Esprit represents not just a mode of transportation, but a journey into automotive history—a reminder of a time when cars were more than just machines, they were works of art. Doosh…
