DID YOU KNOW?? Death Race 2000 was a dystopian science-fiction action film about a cross-country race in the year 2000 where contestants kill people for points. The movie was directed by Paul Bartel and produced by Roger Corman. It starred David Carradine as "Frankenstein" and Sylvester Stallone as "Machine Gun Joe Viterbo." Frankenstein's car in the 1975 film was called THE MONSTER and was a custom-built, alligator-themed 1968 Volkswagen Beetle with a modified Corvette body, but powered by a flat-six Corvair engine with a reptile-scaled paint, spiked spine, and snake eyes for headlights! Sssss!!
