Blues Brothers Bluesmobile Custom Car Art

Legendary BLUES BROTHERS SKETCH crashes the Fireball Garage!

This one’s been a long time coming… One of the BEST FILMS IN HISTORY for sure on many levels, but THE BLUES BROTHERS shifted an entire movie going generation to the value of MUSIC in FILM, Automotive Action and FOCUSED INTENTION. These guys were “ON A MISSION FROM GOD.” I remember seeing this film in 1980 when I was 15. It cemented my desire to design cars for films and made me BELIEVE in the power of MUSIC in story-telling. Absolute GENIUS. But the car chase, man… the car chase. One of the BEST ever FILMED. Today, we celebrate THE BLUES BROTHERS BLUESMOBILE in the Fireball Tim Garage as an ode to all things COOL. The car was a 1974 DODGE MONACO SEDAN and became an instant icon, driving sales for Dodge and making us all want to beat the crap outta our cars. Get this one on a LARGER CANVAS NOW!! DID YOU KNOW?? No SPFX. “It was all real,” said director John Landis. The Filmmakers flew in 40 stunt drivers every weekend and used 13 different Bluesmobiles, including five for filming John Belushi and Dan Aykroyd as they portrayed Jake and Elwood Blues driving about town.
