Welcome to AUTOMOTIVE POP CULTURE DAILY! Now for a trip to the Gray Bar Motel with an all-new MIAMI VICE FERRARI TESTAROSSA MASTERPRINT! We're you a fan of these stylistically dresses cops? We bet you were... and now you can GET THIS AMAZING ART for YOUR GARAGE!
DID YOU KNOW?? The car driven by Don Johnson's character, Sonny Crockett, was a white 1986 Ferrari Testarossa with a 4.9-liter, 390 horsepower flat-12 engine and a 5-speed manual tranny. The car was in storage after the show was canceled in 1989 and emerged again in 2015. 26 years!! It was then authenticated by Ferrari Classiche and Ferrari of North America. The car was offered at auction with no reserve... and sold for $151,800. Ferrari filed a lawsuit against the show's crew for trademark infringement, but as a solution... Ferrari donated two new Testarossa Monospecchios to the show. ChaChing!
