DID YOU NOW?? The Pinkertons were often hired by railroads and express companies to hunt down outlaws in the Wild West. They infiltrated the original Reno Gang (who were responsible for the first train robbery in the United States!), spent months chasing down Jesse James... and in 1861, discovered a plot to assassinate President-elect Abraham Lincoln in Baltimore! From the 1870's to the 1890's, the Pinkertons were the world's largest Private Law Enforcement Organization, their motto being "We Never Sleep..." and their symbol... the unblinking eye. (They would have been more badass with this Hot Rod, seriously...)
